The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deployed additional immigration officers in Mindanao due to the alleged increase in the number of undocumented foreigners in the South.
Immigration Commissioner Ricardo David Jr. recently signed a memorandum order creating a border crossing coordinating committee (BCCO) that will oversee the fielding of BI personnel to border crossing stations near the country’s borders with Indonesia and Malaysia.

Manila, Philippines – A new batch of 10 Filipinos from Syria who availed of the Philippine Government’s offer of repatriation arrived home in the country on Friday night, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
According to the DFA, the latest batch of repatriates from the strife-ridden nation arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on board Thai Airways flight TG 624.

THE Bureau of Immigration is set to deport a Japanese fugitive wanted for illegally recruiting and trafficking Filipina nightclub entertainers to his country.
BI Commissioner Ricardo David, Jr. said immigration agents nabbed Teruaki Nasu, 61, in San Pedro City, Laguna on March 8.
