CFO PRESS RELEASE
The Quezon City Regional Trial Court rendered its judgement against Annaliza Datiles Carpacio for violating the Republic Act 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003. She was convicted for recruiting and deceiving her victims by promising them work as waitresses but ended as sex workers in another country.

Members of the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) worked together to rescue two (2) male minor victims aged 14 and 15 from a child trafficker. The rescue operations team was composed of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Department of Justice-Operation Center (DOJ-OpCen) and the Philippine National Police-Cubao Station.

In April 2015, the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) through its Advocacy and Communications Committee (ADVOCOM) represented by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) partnered with the Office of the Legal Aid of the Arellano Law Foundation (ALF) to provide online legal counseling.
