The Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) wishes to assure the public that the recent issues facing the Visayan Forum Foundation, Inc. (VFFI) will in no way affect the implementation of its existing campaign and efforts to protect the public from the evils of human trafficking.
The IACAT continues to fulfill its mandate to eradicate all forms of modern-day slavery, in partnership with the public, the international community, and civil society.
It reaffirms its commitment to pursue and prosecute perpetrators of human trafficking and ensure that their victims are rehabilitated and fully integrated back into their communities.
It is confident that the VFFI will enjoy a fair and thorough investigation in accordance with law. The IACAT will respect the results of the legal process, which it believes should be allowed to take its course.
