The Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippine National Police (PNP-CIDG) commemorated its long-standing partnership at the latter's 60th Founding Anniversary on January 07, 2013 held at Camp Crame, Quezon City. The event was highlighted by the awarding of a plaque of recognition to one of the key officials of IACAT, Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Raymond Jonathan B. Lledo who leads the National Inter-Agency Task Force Against Trafficking (NIATFAT).

"We look forward to the another fruitful year in collaboration with PNP-CIDG in dealing with the menace of modern-day slavery," Lledo said. The award was handed by PNP Chief Allan L. Purisima and Police Chief Superintendent Samuel D. Pagdilao, Jr. of CIDG.

The CIDG cited NIATFAT's dedication to its mandate and Lledo's unparalleled support to their organization. The NIATFAT and CIDG has been working together for the past years in several joint operations in hunting down child trafficking syndicates and establishments used as front for prostitution. This collaboration has led to the apprehension and prosecution of prostitution syndicates and the rescue of the victim of their abuse.

Justice Undersecretary Jose Vicente B. Salazar, in charge of IACAT, acknowledged this achievement of NIATFAT under the stewardship of Lledo, as he affirmed the Council's vigorous and steadfast efforts in the government's anti-human trafficking campaign. "We take pride in the achievements of SACP Jonathan Lledo and the dedicated men and women of NIATFAT and CIDG, and we are optimistic that this partnership shall be unrelenting in combatting offenders of human trafficking."
