The presence of the Philippine delegation here today is an acknowledgment of three important realities.
First, the exemplary leadership that the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has shown in the efforts of the community of nations against trafficking of human beings.
Second, the valuable partnership between our two governments in this effort.
And third, the gratitude of the Filipino people for the many fruits of this valuable partnership.
Ladies and gentlemen, I am honored to be here to say "Thank You" on behalf of our government
...and on behalf of our people.
On this exchange mission, we are honored, too, to share the pillars of our government's successes in the campaign against trafficking of human beings.
There are two such important pillars:
one, the strong collaboration among local stakeholders and our partners in the international community; and,
two, the strong determination among stakeholders and partners to fight a formidable foe...
...and win despite the many serious limitations they face today.
Overcoming those challenges has been made possible by the support and inspiration from our partners in the international community...
and by your generosity in sharing with us
... not just resources
... but your learning and experiences.
These are priceless.
So, I say, we are here, too, in order to learn some more from you.
We value the support.
We value the learning.
In return, allow me to express, on behalf of the Philippine government, our continuing commitment to the efforts of the community of nations against human trafficking.
The generosity of the Dutch people is legendary; and so is your hospitality.
For these, let me say, thank you.
