They will also have access to information and news updates about human trafficking and directory of IACAT member agencies.

As of September 15, 2012, a total of 13,129 calls were received and 186 actual cases have been served by the 1343 Action Line on Human Trafficking. Most of these are illegal recruitment cases (30.6%) followed closely by human trafficking cases (29.6%). Around 3.0 percent of the reported cases were on mail order brides while the remaining 36.6 percent were for other human trafficking-related violations.

The CFO, having been appointed as chair of the Advocacy and Communications Committee of the Inter-Agency Council Against Human Trafficking (IACAT), established the 24/7 phone-based 1343 Action Line and recently the website www.1343actionline.ph to address the gap in services of the different government agencies and non-government organizations in assisting victims of human trafficking.

The call-based Action Line 1343 and www.1343actionline.ph are aimed at responding to requests for assistance, inquiries and referrals involving suspected human trafficking activities. These are also deemed to fast-track the referral and follow-up of cases, efficiently direct immediate assistance to human trafficking victims and disseminate information on human trafficking.
