Manila, Philippines – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deported a Japanese wanted for sex trafficking in Japan.
BI Commissioner Ricardo A. David Jr. said yesterday that Teruaki Nasu, 61, was deported to Tokyo on May 16 onboard a Japan Airlines flight from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). David said the BI board of commissioners ordered Nasu’s deportation after the Japanese embassy informed the bureau that he facilitated the travel of several Filipinas to Japan without the required working visa.
The embassy said Nasu was charged with falsifying public documents and violating Japan’s immigration and refugee recognition law.
He is also the subject of an arrest warrant by the Omiya summary court in Saitama prefecture.
David added that the Japanese was placed in the immigration blacklist to prevent him from re-entering the country. (Jun Ramirez)
