A couple have been arrested after they allegedly forced nine minors — two of them the children of one of the suspects — into performing sexual acts live online.
Rescued from the house were six minors while three others were found at nearby Barangay Tuktukan.
Two of the victims were reportedly the children of the female suspect while another was her grandchild.
The operation was conducted after the police received a tip from the US Department of Homeland Security and a human rights group, International Justice Mission, that the victims — ranging in age between 1 and 15 years old — were allegedly being made to perform sexual acts that would be shown live online.
The suspects earned between P2,000 and P5,000 per “request” from their clients who were mostly based in the United States and Europe.
The couple now face multiple charges. —Dexter Cabalza
