Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation recently rescued three girls from a suspected Australian pedophile during a raid in Cebu City.
The suspect was identified as Keith Robert Hutton, 65, an Australian billeted at ACE Pensionne Hotel located along M. L. Quezon National Highway, Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan Island, Cebu.
Investigation conducted by the NBI Foreign Liaison Division , Central Visayas Regional Office and Cybercrime Division disclosed that in February and April this year, the Australian Federal Police through the Australian Embassy in Manila requested assistance to conduct surveillance and investigation on Hutton.
He is suspected to be a child sex offender and travels to the Philippines to engage in sexual gratification with minors.
Acting on the request, a joint team of FLD, CEVRO and CCD agents monitored the movements of Hutton at the pensionne hotel.
It was noticed that young girls frequent the room of Hutton.
Sometimes, he himself would meet them at the lobby and bring them to his room.
In the afternoon of April 27, after confirming Hutton was in the company of some female minors inside his room at the pensionne hotel, NBI operatives conducted a rescue operation.
Three girls, two of them minors, were rescued.
Authorities found and seized in his room two laptops with nude pictures of minors, and two digital cameras also loaded with several pornographic pictures of nude female minors doing some sexual acts.
